El pasado 6 de Febrero celebramos la graduación de la EDE de Deportes y Consejeria, la cual empezó el 12 de septiembre del 2011.Fueron 5 meses donde no solo los chicos pudieron conocer mas a Dios, sino también otras personas en otros países como Honduras, El Salvador, además del sur de de Argentina. Esa noche adoramos a Dios por su amor y fidelidad, la cual la demostró en cada instante y cada detalle de todo el transcurso de la escuela.

Different Week 2011 // Semana Diferente 2011

It has been a while since we have updated the blog and you can imagine that in the meanwhile a lot has been going on. One of the highlights with which we closed off a great and challenging 2011 was the “Semana Diferente” (Different Week).

On December 16th early in the morning, busses left to pick up our friends from the Huarpe Community in LaValle. We welcomed more than 500 people for 5 days at our home in Borbollon, Mendoza. The theme of this Semana Diferente was “The time is now”, the time to have an encounter with Jesus so that He can transform our lives and our family. It was a week in which the people enjoyed spending time together, workshops on different topics (addictions, marriage, personal hygiene), great food, the pool, and all kinds of other activities like going to the aquarium for the kids, visiting the spa in the mountains for the women, a soccer tournament or rafting on Mendoza river for the youth. We enjoyed a great talent show as well in which there were different presentations like the police band, tango, folklore, a play, karaoke and much more. As well there was a medical team, including dentists, from Puerto Rico present to provide medical care and supply us with medication for the pharmacy.

The cherry on top was our Christmas night in which we all enjoyed a great barbeque and everybody received a gift.

We would like to thank all of you who were part of this Semana Diferente in prayer, donations and finances. As well a big hand to all the volunteers that came out to help us! Without you this wouldn’t have been possible! God was very faithful in supplying everything that we needed to make this an unforgettable Semana Diferente for our friends of the Huarpe Community.

Ha pasado un largo rato desde la última actualización y ustedes se pueden imaginar que en este último tiempo muchas cosas pasaron. Cerramos 2011 con la Semana Diferente, un evento para nuestros amigos Huarpes del campo de Lavalle.

El 16 de Diciembre, bien de mañana, los colectivos salieron desde Las Heras para buscar nuestros amigos en Lavalle. Les dimos la bienvenida a más que 500 personas, quienes se quedaron en nuestro hogar en el Borbollón, Mendoza. El lema de esta Semana Diferente fue “Ahora es el tiempo”, el tiempo para tener un encuentro con Jesús para que Él pueda transformar nuestras vidas y nuestra familia. Fue una semana en la que la gente pudo disfrutar de pasar tiempo juntos, los diferentes talleres (adiciones, matrimonio, higiene personal), la comida espectacular, la pileta grande y otros tipos de actividades como salidas al acuario para los ninos, visitando las termas de Cacheuta para las mujeres, un torneo de futbol para los varones y rafting en el Rio Mendoza para los jóvenes. También disfrutamos una noche de talentos con diferentes presentaciones de la banda de la Policía, tango, folklore, una obra de teatro, karaoke y mucho mas. Además había un equipo médico, incluido dentistas, que brindaron un gran servicio.

La frutilla del postre fue la noche de Navidad en la que todos nosotros disfrutamos un rico asado y todos recibieron una caja llena con regalos.

Nos gustaría agradecer a todos ustedes quienes fueron parte de esta Semana Diferente con sus oraciones, donaciones y dinero. Así también la gran mano y el gran esfuerzo de todos los voluntarios para ayudarnos. Sin ustedes esto no hubiese sido posible! Dios es super fiel y supliendo todo lo que necesitábamos para hacer de esto una inolvidable Semana Diferente para nuestros amigos de la Comunidad Huarpe.

International day for the elimination of violence against women // Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia Contra la Mujer

Friday, November 25 with the ministry “The Cry of Silence” we went out to the neighborhood, the municipality, and to the centre to participate in the International day for the elimination of violence against women. In the community centre in the neighborhood we gave organized a tea and gave a workshop on prevention of violence against women.

“The Cry of Silence” is a ministry of YWAM Mendoza, focused on informing and raising awareness on prevention of violence against women, domestic and family violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. Raising our voice for the ones that cannot speak!

El Viernes 25 de Noviembre con nuestro ministerio “El Grito del Silencio” fuimos al barrio, la municipalidad y el centro de la ciudad para participar del Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia Contra de la Mujer. En el CIC (Centro Integrador Comunitario) de nuestro barrio organizamos un té y dimos un taller acerca de la prevención de violencia en contra la mujer.

“El Grito del Silencio” es un ministerio de JuCUM Mendoza, que se enfoca e informa sobre violencia de género, violencia familiar, abuso infantil y trata de personas. Levantando nuestra voz por aquellos que no pueden hablar!

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages // Enseñando Inglés como Segundo Idioma

Right after the conference we received Douglas Sadler from YWAM Canada. For 2 weeks he taught us all about Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). We were 13 students from Puerto Rico, Argentina, the United States, England, Canada and the Netherlands taking this course. It was challenging, but we all had a great time and realized how important the ministry of interpretation and teaching is in extending God´s Kingdom!

Directamente después la conferencia recibimos a Douglas Sadler de JuCUM Canadá. Durante 2 semanas nos enseñó todo acerca de Enseñar Inglés a Personas que Hablan Otro Idioma (TESOL). Estuvimos 13 estudiantes de Puerto Rico, Argentina, Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, Canadá y los Países Bajos. Fue desafiante, pero todos tuvimos un tiempo muy lindo y nos dimos cuenta cuán importante es el ministerio de interpretación y enseñanza para extender el Reino de Dios!

National Conference YWAM Argentina 2011 // Conferencia Nacional JuCUM Argentina 2011

And we´re back after a month of no posting, but that definitely doesn´t mean we have been sitting still! By no means! We have been working very hard to prepare everything for the National Conference of YWAM Argentina 2011. We had the privilege to receive more than 400 YWAM-ers at our Mission in Mendoza! It was a great challenge, but we pulled it off because God was in EVERY single detail! It was an amazing time of receiving the best of God, catching up with old friends and making new ones, capacitating ourselves in different workshops, enjoying delicious food, great worship and preaching!!

Thank you all for being part of this and we are already looking forward to next year!

Y aquí estamos de vuelta, después de un mes de no subir una entrada. Pero esto no significa que no hayamos hecho nada! Al contrario! Estuvimos trabajando mucho prepararando todo para la Conferencia Nacional de JuCUM Argentina 2011. Tuvimos el privilegio de recibir más que 400 JuCUMeros en nuestra Misión en Mendoza! Fue un desafío grande pero lo logramos porque Dios estaba en CADA detalle! Fue un tiempo hermoso de recibir lo mejor de Dios, encontrándonos con nuestros viejos amigos y haciendo nuevos, capacitándonos en diferentes talleres, disfrutando comida deliciosa, alabanza maravillosa y predicaciones!

Gracias a todos los que pudieron ser parte de esto y ya estamos esperando la próxima conferencia!

Biblical Studies Seminary “Rejoice in difficulties!” //Seminario de Estudios Biblicos “Alégrense en medio de la dificultad!”

Two weeks ago we had the honor of having Cesar Arreaza of the base in Corrientes with us to teach in the second module of the Biblical Studies Seminary. During this module we looked more closely at the inductive method and studied the letter to the Philippians. It was a very intense week but as we’ve learned we will rejoice in all circumstances and we could really experience that “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength!”

La semana antepasada tuvimos el honor de tener a Cesar Arreaza de la base de Corrientes con nosotros para enseñarnos el segundo modulo del seminario de Estudios Bíblicos. Durante estos días profundizamos en el método inductivo y estudiamos la carta a los filipenses. Fue una semana muy intensa, pero como lo aprendimos nos alegramos en todas las circunstancias y realmente hemos podido experimentar que “todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece!”

Wednesday 21st of September we celebrated the opening of another School of Frontier Missions (SOFM). We have a great group of 14 students from Argentina, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Colombia, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. The theme of the School is “Leaving behind all fear to walk in His dreams and write our history in the nations”, inspired by 2 Cor 20:17. We have great expectations of what God is going to do in this time!

El Miércoles 21 de Septiembre celebramos la apertura de otra Escuela de Misiones Transculturales (EDMT). Tenemos un lindo grupo de 14 estudiantes de Argentina, Ecuador, Países Bajos, Colombia, Perú y la República Dominicana. El lema de la Escuela es “Dejando todo el temor para caminar en Sus sueños y escribir nuestra historia en las naciones”, inspirado en 2 Cor. 20:17. Tenemos grandes expectativas de lo que Dios va a hacer en este tiempo!

Biblical Marathon // Maratón Bíblica

September was the “Month of the Bible”. 23rd Friday we held a Biblical Marathon and we read out parts of the Bible in public in the square in Las Heras. At the same time, across the country other bases in Bariloche, Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Salta and Corrientes joined with us in the same movement. We read out the Bible from 11 a.m. till 8 p.m. in more than 5 languages and we had Bibles on display in 12 languages!
We pray that the Word of God will be proclaimed in the entire world and that every nation and people will have a Bible in its own language!

Septiembre fue “el mes de la Biblia". El Viernes 23 tuvimos una Maratón Bíblica donde leímos públicamente diferentes partes de la Biblia en la plaza de las Heras. Al mismo tiempo, a lo largo del país, junto con otras bases como Bariloche; Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Salta y Corrientes nos unimos a este movimiento. Leímos la Biblia de 11 a.m. a 8 p.m. en más de 5 idiomas y tuvimos en exposición la Biblia en 12 idiomas.
Oramos que la Palabra de Dios sea proclamada en todo el mundo y que cada nación y pueblo tengan una Biblia en su proprio idioma!

We celebrated the tremendous things that God did in their lives and through their lives over these past 5 months. God has been so faithful! The beginning of a new Sports and Counseling DTS! // El comienzo de una nueva EDE de Deportes y Consejería!

The 12th of September we welcomed another batch of students for the Sports and Counselling DTS! This time we have 12 students and staff from 8 different nations: Argentina, Costa Rica, the USA, Germany, Colombia, Ecuador, Canada and Peru. The theme of the school is Hebrews 10:16 “I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” We believe God has planned great things in this time for the students and staff!

El 12 de Septiembre dimos la bienvenida a otra partida de estudiantes de la EDE de Deportes y Consejería! Esta vez tenemos 12 estudiantes y staff de 8 diferente naciones: Argentina, Costa Rica, E.E.U.U., Alemania, Colombia, Ecuador, Canadá y Perú. El lema de la escuela es Hebreos 10:16 “ Pondre mis leyes en su corazón, y las escribiré en su mente.” Creemos que Dios ha planeado grandes cosas en este tiempo para los estudiantes y el staff!

Working, working and blessing the campo! // Trabajando, trabajando y bendiciendo el campo!

While part of the outreach team was spreading God’s word in Europe, the other part was reaching out to the Huarpe community in the campo of la Valle. The students and staff worked very hard and opened a new road, visited families, blew new life into a abandoned post (“Los Molles”), and dug a new well of 10 meters deep. What a remarkable feeling finally finding water! A lot of the work that we did in this time was very pioneering, leaving footsteps in places where no-one set foot before. It was a very impressive and intense time in which we could really see God’s plan and dreams for the campo!

Mientras que parte del equipo estuvo en Europa, extendiendo la Palabra de Dios, la otra parte estuvo alcanzando los Huarpes en el campo de Lavalle. Los estudiantes y los obreros trabajaron muy duro y abrieron un nuevo camino, visitaron familias, suplieron nueva vida en un puesto abandonado (“Los Molles”) y cavaron un pozo de 10 metros en profundidad. Que emoción poder encontrar agua! Mucho del trabajo que hicimos fue pionero, dejando pisadas en lugares donde nadie piso antes. Fue un tiempo muy impresionante e intenso en el que pudimos ver los planes y sueños de Dios para el campo!

Blessing San Juan // Bendiciendo San Juan

The team from Holland and England had one more week of Outreach in San Juan. Strengthened by the Lord and putting in all our effort, we were able to do a lot of evangelism in the parks with the murga and dramas, workshops and teachings. We shared a lot of time with the families and we were really blessed by them. All by all, it was a great way closing off an Outreach in which we could experience God´s faithfulness and His love for us and the people.

El equipo de Holanda y Inglaterra tuvo una semana mas de cruzada en San Juan. Fortalecido por el Señor y poniendo todos nuestros esfuerzos, pudimos hacer mucho evangelismo en los parques con la murga y con obras, talleres y enseñanzas. Compartimos mucho tiempo con las familias de la iglesia y fuimos muy bendecidos por ellas. En todo, fue un manera maravillosa para cerrar esta cruzada en aquel pudimos experimentar la fidelidad de Dios y Su amor para nosotros y para la gente.

Friday the 9th of September the team returned from their Outreach in the Netherlands and England and we just want to give you a little snapshot of all the things we did! It was a great time in which we were able to do a lot of different things and be a blessing to many. We felt really used by God, bringing His hope and love to Europe. In Holland we worked at a children´s holiday camp, we visited an asylum for immigrants from mainly Arabic countries, and did some handywork for one of the ladies of a church in her big garden (including picking our own apples and making our own natural apple juice!). In England we participated in the Notting Hill Carnaval together with YWAM Harpenden. Furthermore we worked with YWAM in the Earl´s Court Community Project where we helped serving in the soupkitchen and went on prayerwalks in one of the most multicultural neighbourhoods in London. We were really blessed during this time and in faith we pray that God will keep on working on the seeds that were planted!

El Viernes 9 de Septiembre llegó el equipo de su cruzada en los Países Bajos e Inglaterra y queremos darles una pequeña muestra de todas las cosas que hicimos! Fue un tiempo hermoso en el que pudimos hacer muchas cosas diferentes y ser de bendición para muchos. Realmente nos sentimos usados por Dios, llevando Su esperanza y amor a Europa. En Holanda trabajamos en un campamento de vacaciones para niños, visitamos un asilo para inmigrantes de países árabes, y trabajamos en un jardín de una de las hermanas de la iglesia haciendo algunos trabajitos (juntando manzanas y haciendo nuestro proprio jugo con ellas!).

En Inglaterra participamos en el Carnaval de Notting Hill juntos con JuCUM Harpenden. Además, trabajamos con JuCUM en el Proyecto Comunitario de Earl´s Court en donde ayudamos a servir en el comedor e hicimos caminatas de oración en el barrio mas multicultural de Londres. Fuimos muy bendicidos en este tiempo y en fé oramos que Dios siga trabajando en las semillas que fueron plantadas!

Último destino // Final destination

Entre Ríos fue la última provincia que recibió a nuestro bus de Impacto. En Paraná, intercedieron en los lugares más significativos de la ciudad como la casa de Gobierno, Tribunal Superior de Justicia y la Catedral del Arzobispo entre otros. Así también visitaron el Hospital San Martín, San Roque y el Hogar de ancianos. Cerraron esta jornada visitando un correccional de menores, en donde el broche de oro fue la pintura de un mural que transmitió mucha presencia de Dios. En este mismo lugar Marlon Doshi compartió su testimonio con los jóvenes que se encontraban allí. La Iglesia local también fue bendecida directamente, se dictaron talleres de prevención de abuso sexual, adicciones, sanidad interior, arte, deportes y una charla sobre las mujeres musulmanas y los países islámicos. El resultado de todo este viaje fue: 86 personas que aceptaron a Jesús, en 15 días, 7 ciudades, 5 provincias, 8 iglesias, 6 hospitales y 4 escuelas. Durante todo este viaje pudimos ver la fidelidad de Dios y su amor obrar en las personas. Todos los que tuvieron la oportunidad de subirse a ese Bus en alguna de las etapas pueden realmente afirmar esto y decir que el lema de "Bendiciendo Nuestra Nación" se cumplió en cada uno de los rincones visitados.

Entre Rios was the ultimate province that received our Impact bus. In Paraná, we interceded in the most significant places in the city such as the government´s house, Superior Court of Justice, and the Cathedral of the archbishop among others. As well, we visited San Martin Hospital, San Roque and the elderly home. We closed of this journey visiting a juvenile correctional where the cherry on the cake was painting a mural that transmitted a lot of God´s presence. In the same place, Marlon Doshi shared his testimony with the youth that lived there. The local church was also blessed directly, given workshops about prevention of sexual abuse, addictions, inner healing, art, sport and a talk about muslim women and Islamic countries The result of this trip was: 86 people that accepted Jesus, in 15 days, 7 cities, 5 provinces, 8 churches, 6 hospitals and 4 schools. During this entire trip we could see God's faithfulness and His love working in the people. Everyone who had the opportunity to be on this bus can really affirm this and say that the theme "Blessing our Nation" was fulfilled in every corner of the country that was visited.

Sigue el Impacto! // The Impact continues

El viaje continuó hacia la provincia de Santa Fe, donde en tan solo cuatro días de intensas actividades en las iglesias y en las calles, todo el equipo pudo ver a 21 personas aceptando a Jesús como su Señor.
El movimiento intercesor por este lugar fue muy grande y fuerte ya que pudieron hacerlo en lugares como la Plaza 25 de Mayo, Subsecretaria de Cultura, cancha del Club Atlético Colón, Catedral, Esc. San Francisco, edificio de Gobierno, edificio Judicial y el Coro Polifónico de la Provincia.
Además del trabajo de la murga y las obras de teatro en los barrios, proyectaron dos películas finalizando con una respectiva reflexión.

The trip continued to the province of Santa Fe, where in only four intense days of activities in the churches and on the streets, the team was able to see 21 people accept Jesus into their hearts. The interceding movement throughout Santa Fe was very strong and powerful, as the team was able to pray in key places, such as the 25 de Mayo Plaza, the Secretary of Culture Office, Colon Athletic Club's soccer field, a Cathedral, San Francisco School, the Courthouse, and the Choir Center in the province. The team presented the 'Murga', dramas in the neighborhoods, and projected movies to explain and reflect the dramas.

Una aparte del equipo se dirigió hacia Buenos Aires para viajar rumbo al viejo continente y poder bendecir Holanda e Inglaterra. Damos gracias a Dios por su mover en estas Ciudades Santafesinas, y por lo que viene en el próximo destino.

Part of the team left to Buenos Aires to travel to the old continent and bless Holland and England. We thank God for His move in this cities at Santa Fe, and for everything that is to come in our next destination.

En Córdoba Capital // City of Córdoba

En esta ocación la Base de JuCUM Córdoba fue la anfitriona de nuestros representantes en este viaje, y quiénes llevaron a cabo en conjunto una extensa lista de actividades.
De los cuatro días que estuvieron en La docta, pudieron visitar hospitales, interceder en las plazas centrales de la ciudad, evangelizar villas; el centro e incluso la zona roja. Participaron con música, de parte de nuestra murga, junto a iglesias locales de la campaña a favor de la vida y junta de firmas para un proyecto de ley de la protección integral de la familia.
Se dictó en las instalaciones de la base un taller de prevención de abuso infantil a cargo del equipo de consejería que estuvo abierto para las iglesias. También otra parte del equipo pudieron celebrar el Día del Niño en el centro vecinal del barrio junto a 350 niños aproximadamente y sus familias. Para culminar el tiempo en el lugar decidieron interceder por la provincia desde el mismo barrio, ya que es uno de los puntos más altos de la ciudad. Y aprovechando la tarde del domingo fueron a La Casa de Ronald Mc’Donald con la murga, obras de teatros y música para niños para pasar una tarde diferente junto a las personas que se encontraban en el lugar (padres, voluntarios y pacientes).

The YWAM base in Cordoba hosted our travelers and put together a wonderful list of activities.
During the four days that the team was in Cordoba, they were able to visit hospitals, intercede in the city squares, evangelize in villages, downtown, and in the red light district. They participated together with local churches, playing the Murga (musical drums), for a Pro-Life campaign that raised signatures to pass a law for family protection.
The counseling school gave a workshop in the Cordoba base, that was also open to the churches, that taught over the prevention of child abuse. Others were able to celebrate “Kids Days” in a local neighborhood center with 350 children and their familes. They finished they stay in Cordoba interceeding for the province, from one of the highest points in the city. Sunday afternoon the team went to the Ronald McDonald home with instruments, dramas, and music for the kids and everyone who was there (parents, volunteers, and patientes).

La Rioja, bendecida! // La Rioja, blessed

Y así llegaron a la provincia de La Rioja el Equipo de Consejería (FCM), la EDE e Impacto, en "el colectivo amarillo", como lo denomina el público que ha podido participar y ver el trabajo de los chicos. Canal 9 de La Rioja y radios locales se hicieron presente en la iglesia Cristiana Evangelica Bautista para entrevistar a nuestros enviados y difundir las actividades que éstos llevarían a cabo en la localidad. Estuvieron en la Plaza 25 de Mayo donde la respuesta de la gente fue muy positiva. Estos últimos los invitaban a hospitales y escuelas donde trabajan para que también allí pudiesen compartir de su mensaje de alegría. Deportes, música, caridad y educación son algunas de las áreas que han sido bendecidas en La Rioja a través de esta aventura que cada día suma a más y más adeptos.

And that is how the Counseling School, The DTS, and our Impacto team made it to La Rioja, on "The Yellow Bus" named by the public and by those who have been able to participate and see the teams work. The Local Radio Station and Channel 9 from La Rioja were present at the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church to interview our team members and announce the activities that were being put on locally by Impacto. The group was in the Plaza 25 de Mayo, and received a positive response from the crowd. They were invited to hospitals and schools where they were able to go and share encouraging messages with the people there. Sports, music, charity, and education are some of the areas that have been blessed in La Rioja through this edventure that everyday gains more and more followers.

Impacto en el Bus! // Impact on Bus!

El sábado pasado, 6 de Agosto, partieron en nuestro bus los estudiantes de la EDE de arte y misericordia junto al equipo de Impacto. Ellos están haciendo un recorrido de oeste a este en nuestro país visitando ciudades como San Juan, La Rioja, Córdoba, Santa Fe y Entre Rios. Llevan a cabo evangelismos en plazas, talleres en las iglesias, visita a hogares de niños y ancianos.
Queremos compartirles imágenes de lo que fue la primera etapa en San Juan.

Last Saturday, August 6, Art amercy DTS students, along with the Impact Team took off on our bus. They are travnd eling from the west of Argentina to the east, visiting cities such as San Juan, La Rioja, Córdoba, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos. The team is evangelizing in parks, sharing in church workshops, visiting elderly homes and orphanages.

So much to tell! It was a month full of activities: the team from Canada together with the Arts ministry performed in the Godoy Cruz theatre, we went on Outreach to the desert with the Arts and Mercy DTS, we laid down the first floor of our new building, we evangelized during the American Cup together with Athletes in Christ and No more violence, and worked together with the churches. What a privilege it is to work in God´s Kingdom! We have so many great opportunities to serve Him and to show God´s love and preach the message of salvation to the world. Tanto para contar! Fue un mes lleno de actividades: el equipo de Canadá junto con la EDE de Arte y Misericordia tuvieron una presentación en el teatro Godoy Cruz, nos fuimos de cruzada al campo con la EDE de Arte y Misericordia.
Hicimos la losa en nuestro edificio propio, fuimos a la Copa América para evangelizar junto con Atletas de Cristo y No más Violencia, y trabajamos con las iglesias. Que privilegio trabajar en el Reino de Dios! Tenemos tantas oportunidades para servirle a Él, mostrar su amor y predicar el mensaje de salvación al mundo. Outreach of the Mercy and Arts DTS // mini-cruzada de la EDE de Misericordia y Arte

The last week of May, the Arts and Mercy DTS went on mini-outreach to Tunuyan, visiting the church of Pastor Cerafin. It was a great time! We supported the youth ministry “Revolution 3.16”, had evangelistic impacts, gave classes and presentations, went to the local radio station, and helped out in the services. We had an awesome time and God moved in tremendous ways. We are very thankful for the way in which the church received us. You reflected God’s love to us!

La última semana de Mayo, la EDE de Misericordia y Arte tuvo su mini-cruzada en Tunuyán, visitando la iglesia del pastor Cerafin. Fue un tiempo muy lindo! Apoyamos el ministerio “Revolución 3:16” con impactos evangelísticos; clases y presentaciones, y fuimos a la radio. También colaboramos en los cultos. Tuvimos un tiempo hermoso y Dios se movió de una manera tremenda. Estamos muy agradecidos por la manera en que la iglesia nos recibió. Realmente reflejan el amor de Dios para nosotros!

The Coffee Night, 3^rd of June, was a great success! Great atmosphere, desserts, photos, music, and presentations. We met with old friends and got to know new ones. We thank you all for coming and contributing to this night! Be prepared for the next one ;)

La Noche de Café, el 3 de Junio, fue un gran éxito! Hermoso ambiente, postres, fotos, música y presentaciones. Nos encontramos con viejos amigos y conocimos otros nuevos. Gracias a todos por ser parte de esta noche! Y preparate para la próxima ;)

This past week we were blessed with the visit of Pastor Hugo and Jeanette Contreras, who we worked with in Constitucíon after the earthquake last year. They are still extending Gods Kingdom in Constitucion and we send them our blessings from Mendoza! As well Dionysio, from our base in Pichilemu, visited us to teach in the Arts and Mercy DTS.

La semana pasada el pastor Hugo y pastora Jeanette Contreras nos visitaron desde Constitución, Chile! Trabajamos juntos despues el terremoto en Constitucion el año pasado. Hugo y Jeanette siguen extendiendo el Reino por alla y los mandamos nuestros bendiciones desde Mendoza! Tambien Dionysio, desde nuestra base en Pichilemo, nos visitó y enseignó en la EDE de Arte y Misericordia.

Past Thursday we celebrated the graduation of the Soccer DTS! They had their Outreaches in Northern Argentina and Peru and they came home with amazing stories about all the things that God has been doing. As well, the Counseling school had a tremendous time in the desert on the first part of their Outreach.

Jueves pasado celebramos la graduacion de la EDE de Fútbol! Tuvieron su tiempo practico en el Norte de Argentina y Peru. Volvieron llenos de grandes historias de todo lo que Dios hizo. Tambíen, la Escuela de Consejeria volvió del campo y esta preparado para su segunda parte de su tiempo practico.

We are so excited and thankful to welcome a new YWAM-mer! Last Monday Ezequiel Johannes Núñez, son of Beto Núñez and Sanna Luodes de Nuñez, was born! Thank God for the miracle of new life and hope. Ezequiel we welcome you in the YWAM-family, may God bless you and your family in abundance. Now we are waiting for the arrival of Baby Ludlow and Baby Balbuena. We are very excited! To celebrate the moms and their babies, we also threw a babyshower for them with all the girls last week.

Estamos tan emocionados y agradecidos de darle la bienvenida a un nuevo JuCUMero! El Lunes pasado nació Ezequiel Johannes Núñez, hijo de Beto Núñez y Sanna Luodes de Núñez. Gracias Dios por el milagro de la nueva vida y la esperanza. Ezequiel, te damos la bienvenida a la familia Jucumera. Que Dios te bendiga a vos y tu familia en abundancia! Ahora estamos esperando el bebé Ludlow y el bebé Balbuena. Estamos muy emocionados! Para celebrar con las mamás y sus bebés organizamos un “babyshower” la semana pasada junto a todas las chicas de la base.

And we keep on building in God’s Kingdom! Literally with the construction of our own building, and as well through the lives of the students of the Soccer DTS. They are on outreach in the north of Argentina and in Peru. We have received great stories of everything that God is doing! Next week, the Counseling school is starting their 3 months outreach. The first 3 weeks they will be working and visiting the families in the desert of La Valle. We have great expectations. Please keep on praying for them! As well, we are very grateful for the time that the team of YWAM Quebec had in the desert the past 10 days. Together we are extending God’s Kingdom, what a privilege to be part of this!

Y continuamos construyendo en el Reino de Dios! Literalmente en la construcción de nuestro edificio proprio y también a través de las vidas de los estudiantes de la EDE de Fútbol. Ellos están en la parte práctica de su escuela en el norte de Argentina y en Perú. Recibimos historias maravillosas de todo lo que Dios está haciendo! La próxima semana, la Escuela de Consejeria va a salir de práctica por 3 meses. Las primeras 3 semanas van a estar el en campo de Lavalle. Tenemos grandes expectativas. Por favor, sigan orando por ellos y el tiempo que viene! También estamos muy agradecidos por el tiempo que tuvo el equipo de JuCUM Quebec en el campo los últimos 10 días. Juntos estamos extendiendo el Reino de Dios, que privilegio ser parte!

As well, God is preparing a new batch of soldiers! We already finished the first month of the theory phase of the Arts and Mercy DTS. The word that God gave us for the school is "In God we will do mighty things", Psalm 60:12. 16 students from all over Argentina, Colombia and the United States are discovering God’s dreams for them and receiving all the great things that He has prepared for them in this special time. It’s amazing to see His healing love and restoring power in such a tangible way.

Así también, el Señor está preparando un nuevo grupo de soldados! Ya terminamos con el primer mes de la parte teórica de la EDE de Arte y Misericordia! La palabra que Dios nos dio para esta escuela es Salmos 60: 12 "En Dios haremos grandes proezas". 16 estudiantes de Argentina, Colombia y los Estados Unidos están descubriendo los sueños de Dios para sus vidas y recibiendo cosas maravillosas que Él ha preparado para este tiempo especial. Es increíble ver su amor sanador y poder restaurador de una manera tan real.

Glory to God, we started constructing our new building!! Our team of staff-constructors is working from dawn till sunset. The foundation has been laid already and we are ready to start building some walls. This Easter we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection with an sunrise service and breakfast! An amazing time, celebrating all together the sacrifice of Jesus for us. He is alive!

Wow, not updating the blog for three weeks makes us realize what an active base we are! So many things happened that we want to tell you about!

From the 6^th to the 9^th of April we had our Staff retreat. We spend these days together as a family, sharing, listening to devotionals and seeking God in all the projects that are planned for the coming year (and let us tell you: it’s a lot, thanks to God!).

Saturday the 9^th of April, we celebrated the international day of the Woman in our neighborhood. The photos that we took during this month of the women in the neighborhood were exposed under the name “Beauty Exposed”. Furthermore the Art ministry presented a choreography.

The week after, one of our long held desires finally was fulfilled: we had a week-long bible study seminary, led by our staff member Carlos from the base in Corrientes in which we studied the letter to the Ephesians. It was a beautiful time and we learned a lot! What a richness there is in the Word! In two more months we hope to continue with the second module.

De 6 al 9 de Abril tuvimos nuestro retiro del obreros. Compartimos como familia, escuchando devocionales, y buscando a Dios juntos en todos los proyectos que estan planificados para este año (y les decimos: es mucho, gloria a Dios!)

Sabado 9 de Abril, celebramos el día internacional de la Mujer en nuestro barrio. Tuvimos la actividad “Belleza Expuesta” de las fotos que sacamos en el barrio. Además, el ministerio de Arte presentó un coreografía.

La semana suiguiente, uno de nuestros anhelos desde hace mucho, fue cumplido: tuvimos el primer módulo del seminario de estudios bíblicos. Carlos, de la base de JuCUM Corrientes, nos enseñó sobre la carta a los Efesios. Fue un tiempo hermoso y aprendimos mucho! Que riqueza hay en la Palabra!En dos meses esperamos tener el segundo módulo.

Chile, Peru and Nothern Argentina: here we come! // Chile, Peru y el Norte de Argentina: Allá vamos!

How the time flies by! Three months ago we started the Soccer DTS and this Saturday the teams are already leaving on Outreach! The first two weeks they will spend all together in Chile and then one team will leave to Northern Argentina and the other team will go to Peru. We have great expectations of what the Lord is going to do in the lives of the students and the people they will meet.

This week we are celebrating as well International Women's Day (which was the 8th of March) with an entire week of activities in the neighbourhood, finishing with a festival on Saturday.

Moreover, this week we will spend time as a family during the staff retreat! Together we will seek the Lord and listen to all the plans and challenges that He has for us for the coming year.

Cómo vuela el tiempo! Hace tres meses empezamos con la EDE de Fútbol y este sábado los equipos ya se van a su tiempo práctico! Las primeras dos semanas todos van a estar en Chile y después un equipo viajará al Norte de Argentina y el otro equipo a Perú. Tenemos muchas expectativas de todo lo que el Señor va a hacer en las vidas de los estudiantes y en las personas que van a conocer!

Además, celebramos el día internacional de la mujer (que fue el 8 de Marzo) con seis días llenos de actividades en el barrio. Cerramos la semana con un festival este sábado!

Este semana también tenemos el retiro de los obreros. Vamos a pasar tiempo juntos como familia escuchando todos los planes y desafíos que Dios tiene para nosotros este año.

Last Saturday we went to different parts of Mendoza to bring awareness to the day of the unborn child. Here in Argentina they want to pass a law that makes abortion legal and we took the opportunity to talk to the people and invite them for a informative talk and discussion.

As well, we celebrated the graduation of the students of the School of Frontier Missions! How amazing to hear all the testimonies and see how God’s heart beats for the Nations! Congratulations to all of the students that graduated. May God bless you and guide you into the next step of His dreams for you!

El sábado pasado salimos a diferentes partes de Mendoza para conscientizar el dia del niño por nacer. Aca en Argentina el gobierno quiere crear una ley que legaliza el aborto. Tomamos esta oportunidad para hablar con la gente e invitarlas a una charla y discusión.

También, celebramos la graduación de los estudiantes de la Escuela de las Misiones Transculturales! Que maravillosa escuchar todos los testimonios y ver como late el corazón de Dios para las Naciones! Felicitaciones a todos los estudiantes que graduaron. Que Dios les bendiga y les guia en los proximos pasos de Sus sueños para ustedes!

Covered in tomato sauce and translating for the International Medical Relief team! // Cubiertos en salsa de tomate y traduciendo por un equipo medico

Last week was a moving week! As a family we worked all together from early morning to late at night to make our own homemade tomato sauce. Selecting, washing, cutting, squeezing, boiling in order to fill more than 700 bottles! It was a lot of work, but now we know that we will have enough sauce to get through the winter. As a Mission we are trying to get more and more self-sustaining and this year we are taking on an agricultural challenge of growing our own fruits and vegetables. We have a lot of farmland, but we lack the resources to buy a tractor and other tools that we need. Contact us if you want to support us and be part of this challenge!

As well, we supported the International Medical Relief team that came over from the US to give free clinics to the people in La Valle. Every day a group of 7 translators of our Mission helped translating appointments with the dentist, gynecologist, cardiologist, internist, nurses and the community education that was given. It was a bit hectic because we had around 15 doctors and only 7 translators! But it all worked out great and we could attend to around 700 people during the week!

La semana pasada fue una semana de mucho moviento! Como familia trabajamos todos juntos desde el amanecer hasta la noche para hacer nuestra propria salsa de tomate casera! Selecionando, lavando, cortando, hirviendo para llenar mas que 700 botellas. Era un gran trabajo pero ahora sabemos que tenemos suficiente salsa de tomate por todo el invierno! Como Misión tratamos de autosostenernos y este año tenemos un desafio agricultural: cultivar nuestras proprias frutas e verduras. Tenemos el espacio pero faltan los recursos para comprar un buen tractor y otras herremientas que necesitamos. Ponete en contacto si querés apoyarnos y se parte de este desafio!

También, la semana pasada apoyamos al equipo medicio “Alevio Medico Internacional” que vino para dar ayudo medico en La Valle. Cada día un grupo de 7 traductores de nuestra Misión fue a traducir citas con los dentistas, ginecologas, cardiologos, oculistas, enfermeras. Fue un tiempo de mucho trabajo porque habian mas de 15 doctores y solamente 7 traductores, pero al final fue un gran exito y pudimos atender a mas que 700 personas durante la semana!

Verano Extremo, visitantes desde Carolina del Sur y el comienzo de una nueva Escuela de Consejeria!

This week we went to the mountains for the “Extreme Summer”-camp. We had a very good time! We were able to go rafting, camping on the top of a hill with a beautiful view and we did a lot of hiking. We closed of the days with a campfire and a time of sharing teachings and experiences. Missed out on this camp? No worries, later this year we will host another camp!

As well we have a team from The King’s Academy from South Carolina visiting us. They will be spending time in the desert visiting families and going to a orphanage this week. We are glad to have them over!

Furthermore, our girls-soccer team is playing a tournament in the different neighbourhoods of "Las Heras", our city department. Go Girls!

Tuesday we celebrated the start of the Counseling School. We welcomed students that just finished their counseling DTS, staff from our Mission and other students that did their DTS’s in another place. The theme of the school is John 4:14 “But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

We are excited to see what God has prepared for the coming time!

Este semana fuimos a las montañas con el campamento de “Verano Extremo” . Tuvimos un muy buen tiempo! Hicimos rafting, camping arriba de un cerro con un vista hermosa a las montanas, y mucho trekking. Cerramos el dia con un fogata y un tiempo de compartir devcionales y experiencias. Te Perdiste este campamento? No te preocupes!!, mas adelante organizaremos otros!

También, este semana llego un equipo de “The King’s Academy” del Carolina del Sur (EEUU). Ellos van al campo, y estaran visitando familias en alli, y luego un orfanato esta semana en la ciudad. Estamos felices de tenerlos en nuestra casa!

Además, nuestro equipo de futbol feminino esta jugando un torneo en los diferentes barrios de "Las Heras". Vamos chicas!!

Martes celebremos el comienzo de la Escuela de Consejeria Biblica. Dimos la bienvenida a los estudiantes que recién terminaron su EDE con enfoque en Consejeria, obreros de nuestra Mision y otros que hicieron sus EDEs en diferentes lugares. La palabra para la Escuela esJuan 4:14 “Pero el que beba del agua que yo le daré no volverá a tener sed jamás, sino que dentro de él esa agua se convertirá en un manantial del que broterá vida eterna”.

Estamos emocionada para ver que es que Dios tiene preparado para este tiempo!

Graduation Sports and Counseling DTS and Coffee Night // Graduación EDE de Deportes e Consejeria y Noche de Café

We celebrated the graduation of another Discipleship Training School! Last Friday the students from the Sports and Counseling DTS received their diploma’s. It was another bittersweet celebration: thankful to have made it to the end of the DTS and seeing those shining faces but on the other hand a bit sad because we know that soon we will be saying our goodbyes and farewells to people that we have become close to over the past 5 months.

As well we had a really nice and successful Coffee Night , pro-India! There was a live “jazz&roll”-band, delicious desserts, smoothies, ice-coffee, and obviously Indian chai! Thanks to all of you to came out and enjoy this evening with us and raise a nice offering for the team that left for India!

They are travelling across India, visiting different cities during this month. God provided for the tickets and we keep on praying in faith that He will provide for the stay as well! We will keep you updated on any news that comes our way.

Celebramos la graduación de la Escuela de Discipulado y Entrenamiento! El viernes pasado los estudiantes de la EDE de Deportes e Consejeria recibieron sus diplomas. Era una celebración linda pero al mismo tiempo un poco triste: agradecido por llegar al fin de la EDE y ver las caras brillandas pero triste porque sabemos que en poco tiempo tenemos que despedir a nuestros nuevos amigos.

También, pasamos un Noche de Café excellente! Estaba un banda “jazz&roll” en vivo, postres deliciosos, liquados, ice-coffee, y chai de India! Gracias a todo que venieron para disfrutar este noche con nosotros. Con su ayuda pudimos levantar una linda ofrenda para el equipo que salió a India! Viajan a través India, visitando diferentes ciudades durante el proximó mes. Dios provió para las boletas y seguimos orando en fe que El proverá por el tiempo en India también.

The coming week our Mission is really “on the move”! At the beginning of last week, the Mission School and Team Impact lacked US$5000 to buy their tickets to leave for India. After days of fasting and praying we could witness God’s faithfulness in providing the amount that we needed! The Holy Spirit moved in a tremendous ways, touching peoples heart in helping us in this challenge. So the tickets are bought and the 16^th of February this team of 8 is on their way to extend God’s Kingdom in India!

People aren’t only leaving, but also returning! We are happy and grateful to receive back home the students from the Sports DTS! They will be arriving this week from their Outreaches in Asia, the South of Argentina, Central America and Chile. We are excited about hearing all the great things God has done during these past 2 months!

As well coming up this week: COFFEE NIGHT, Pro-India! This Friday, February 11 at 20hrs we will be hosting another Coffee Night! We will be waiting for you at our Mission in Borbollon with delicious desserts, a live band, videos and other entertainment and ice-chai! Everyone is invited, we will be expecting you! Bring your mom, dad, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, church members, friends, neighbours…

As well, due to some strong winds, one of the trees at the base fell on top of the kitchen last week! Thank God no-one got hurt and the damage was limited.

En esta semana nuestra Misión esta realmente “en movimiento”.

Al principio de la semana pasada, a la Escuela de Misiones y el “Equipo Impacto” le faltaban US$5000 para comprar sus boletos hasta India. Después de días de ayuno y oración pudimos ver la fidelidad de Dios y Su provisión! El Espíritu Santo se movió en una manera tremenda, tocando corazones para ayudarnos en este desafió! Entonces, compramos los boletos. Y el 16 de Febrero este equipo de 8 personas, estara saliendo para extender el Reino de Dios en India!

Y no solamente hay gente que se va, también gente que regresa a nuestro hogar! Estamos feliz y agradecidos, que podemos darle la bienvenida a los estudiantes de la EDE de Deportes y Consejeria! NOCHE DE CAFE Pro-India! Este viernes, 11 de Febrero a las 21hrs tendremos otra “Noche de Café”. Los esperamos en nuestra Misión, en el Borbollon, con postres deliciosos, una banda de musica, videos y Ice-Chai! Todos estan invitados, los esperamos! También, debido a un viento fuerte, un arbol se cayó arriba de la cocina la semana pasada! Gracias a Dios nadie salió herido y el daño fue limitado.

Missions Dinner and cleaning the pool again // Cena de Misiones y limpieza de la pileta

Last Wednesday we hosted a Missions Dinner in San Martin, in the church “Jesu Cristo Plentitud de Vida”. Some 75 guests enjoyed a night of delicious food from India and China, games and presentations, in order to raise finances for the trip of the Mission School and Team Impact to India. It was a great success and we were blessed tremendously!

As well, this week we’ve cleaned the pool again! With the high temperatures that we’re experiencing we’re very thankful that we’re able to jump in when it gets too hot.

Miercoles pasado organizamos una cena de Misiones ,en San Marti n, en la Iglesia “JesuCristo Plentitud de Vida”. Unos 75 invitados disfrutaron de una noche con comida deliciosa de India y China, juegos y presentaciones. Todo fue para juntar finanzas para el viaje de la Escuela de Misiones y el Equipo Impacto, hacia India. Fue un exito y fuimos bendicidos en gran manera!

Tambien, este semana limpiamos la pileta de nuevo. Con las altas temperaturas que estamos teniendo en Mendoza, estamos muy agradecidos de que podemos disfrutarla y saltar en el agua cuado hace mucho calor.
