Flatland Mendoza 2012

El sábado pasado estuvimos con los chicos del ministerio de tribus urbanas y comunicaciones en el torneo de Flatland Mendoza 2012, del cual tuvimos la oportunidad de ser parte de la organizacion junto a unos amigos de la escena urbana.  Los "riders" en sus bicis presentaron en la Plaza Independencia sus trucos antes el jurado y el público. Dicho evento fue de carácter internacional, llegaron chicos desde Brasil, Colombia y Chile. Argentina fue representado por chicos de Buenos Aires, San Juan, San Luis y Mendoza. El nivel fue alto y pasamos un muy buen tiempo junto a los chicos y la gente.

Hay mucho trabajo por hacer en esta esfera. Dios nos dijo que nos llamaba a ser profetas en medio de esta Juventud y lo creemos!
 
Last Saturday we went with the communication ministry and with the urban tribes ministry to the Flatland Tournament Mendoza 2012, in which we had the opportunity to be part of the organization together with some friends from the urban scene. The riders with their bmx`s presented their tricks before the jury and the public on the Independence square. The event had an international character, different riders from Brasil, Colombia and Chile came to participate. Argentina was represented by riders from Buenos Aires, San Juan, San Luis and Mendoza. The level was really high and we spend a very good time together with the people and the bikers.
 
There is a lot of work to do in this area of society. God told us to be prophets in the midst of this youthgroup and we believe it!

Ropes Course Mendoza has arrived! / / Curso de Cuerdas Mendoza llego!

As previously announced we started building our very own ropes course! Sue and Jeff from YWAM Salem, Oregon and Salomon from Brazil (YWAM Curitiva) joined our Sports Ministry for a week to get us started on the low circuit with its different elements. Cables have been cut, ropes have been knotted and the ropes course starts to take shape! As well, we started one part of the high circuit, 13 meters up in the trees! This week we officially inaugurated the course and our staff and students were the first ones to get some experience. It challenges us to grow in leadership, face our fears, trusting others, following orders and being responsible for others! We will keep you updated on any further progress! Evangelismo en las Calles de Mendoza // Evangelism in the Streets of Mendoza

En la Ciudad de Mendoza existen alrededor de 80 personas que viven en la calle, o viven de la calle…o desarrollan estrategias de calle, esto es para sobrevivir. En JUCUM Mendoza, estamos saliendo todos los obreros, cada miércoles por la noche a visitar este grupo de personas, casi en su totalidad hombres adultos y ancianos. Compartimos con ellos una bebida fresca – jugo – en verano, o una bebida caliente en invierno – café -, y un alfajor, o galletas para compartir. Construimos relaciones de amistad y confianza y así compartimos a Jesús y su amor. Abrazamos a aquellos que la sociedad excluye, con solo una charla, escuchar, y orar por sus necesidades.
