Nuestro equipo sirviendo en Chile después del terremoto // Our team serving in Chile after the earthquake
Luego del terremoto que tuvo lugar en Coquimbo, Chile, como Misión enviamos a un equipo de obreros y estudiantes de la E.D.E de Deportes, para que en este tiempo esten siendo voluntarios y sirviendo en este lugar.
La otra parte del equipo estuvo cocinando para las familias damnificadas, junto a un grupo de personas proveniente de los pueblos originarios de Chile.
Desde hace 2 semanas una parte del equipo estuvo colaborando, junto con la municipalidad de Coquimbo y otra ONG llamada INJUV, en la limpieza de terrenos, demolición de paredes y estructuras
que quedaron innabilitadas por el terremoto (como la Casa de la Cultura). Además, limpieza en casas sacando
lo que no sirve que el mar dejo, aplanando pisos para la construcción
de terreno, preparando y distribuyendo comida para las familias, gente en las calles y otros voluntarios.
La otra parte del equipo estuvo cocinando para las familias damnificadas, junto a un grupo de personas proveniente de los pueblos originarios de Chile.
Fueron parte de una actividad a
beneficio de las familias damnificadas, llamada
"Concierto a Beneficio" con la presencia de artistas nacionales y la prensa, que mostró el trabajo que estuvimos realizando.
Seguimos orando por esta nación y por cada familia y persona que fue afectada por el terromoto, y que el equipo pueda ser de bendición en cada área en necesitada.
After the earthquake that took place in Coquimbo, Chile, as a Mission we send a team of staff and students of the Sports DTS to be volunteering and serving in this place.
Since 2 weeks ago part of our team has been collaborating together with the municipality of Coquimbo and another NGO called INJUV, with the cleaning of land, breaking down walls and structures that were left inhabitant because of the earthquake. Furthermore, they were involved in the cleaning of houses, taking out everything that the sea left behind after the tsunami that was produced by the earthquake, preparing land for future construction of emergency housing and preparing and distributing food to the people on the streets and the volunteers.
The other part of the team prepared the food for the affected families together with a group of people from a native tribe. They were part of a charity event for the affected families called "Charity Concert" involving national artists and the press, showing the work that has been conducted so far.
Let´s keep on praying for this nation and for every family and person affected by the earthquake and that our team may be a blessing in all the needed areas!
