Té Desfile // Tea Fashion Show

El sábado 13 de septiembre se llevó a cabo , en las instalaciones de nuestra misión, un desfile para exponer y modelar el trabajo realizado por el aula satélite CCT 6-065 "Escuela de Moda" . Los alumnos , junto a amigos , fueron modelos, recorriendo la pasarela para mostrar , las prendas que ellos mismos hicieron durante el curso de costura. La primer muestra desfiló , su linea de ropa deportiva, buzos de todos los colores y cortes, pantalones de jogging y hasta varias muestras de ropa para embarazadas. Con la segunda pasarela,llegó el turno de la linea formal : vestidos, faldas, camisas , con la particularidad de que todas las prendas fueron confeccionadas utilizando material reciclable. La última muestra, diò lugar a ropa de gala con : vestidos de 15, damas de honor y el bello vestido de novia. Cada prenda realizada por los estudiantes y su profesor. Ya finalizando, la noche tuvo un toque internacional ,los modelos pasaron con trajes típicos de las naciones que hemos podido visitar como Misión , en los últimos diez años como : India, China, Zimbabwe ,Kazakstán, entre otros. La finalidad del desfile , fue recaudar fondos, para la compra de telas y así seguir invirtiendo en las clases.. Los estudiantes no solo demostraron sus habilidades para coser sino también a la hora de cocinar , sorprendiéndonos , con deliciosos postres y tortas, que los invitados disfrutaron con un rico té, mientras se desarrollaba el show.

Saturday the 13th of September at the base we had a tea and fashion show to and model all of the work that the students of the satellite classroom CCT 6-065 "School of Fashion”.  The students and some volunteer models walked down the catwalk to show off the pieces that they themselves made during the sewing course.  The first run was their line of sports wear.  The models passed by with sweatshirts of all colors and styles, and also with sweatpants. There were even several options of maternity clothes.  In the second run they modeled a formal line of clothes where the instructions were to use recycled fabric.  They used old outfits and made them new.  The third run was dresses for Quinceñeras, bridesmaids and a wedding dress.  All made by the students and their teacher. Lastly we put a little YWAM touch to the runway and did a look to the nations.  There the models exhibited different typical outfits from many of the countries we have visited as a mission in the last ten years: like India, China, Zimbabwe and Kazakhstan among others.  The purpose of the fashion show was to raise funds to buy fabric for the classrooms. The students not only know how to sew but also to cook and they all brought desserts and cakes to be enjoyed by the guests throughout the evening.
