Every three years YWAM bases in the southern cone region of South America gather for a week long conference. This year the event was held in Santiago, Chile. YWAMers traveled from their bases in Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile for workshops, to receive words of encouragement through YWAM guest speakers, to learn and share what's going on in different bases in South America and in the rest of the world and to build relationships and maintain old friendships.

Main sessions were given by Ricardo Rodriguez, the YWAM southern cone regional director, other base directors in the region and by YWAM guest speakers from outside of the region. Two of the principal guests were Jim Stier who helped begin YWAM in Brazil and Ramona Musch from YWAM Atlanta who is serving as a regional director in the United States.

This year there was an emphasis in highlighting ministries that are transforming specific areas of society...in the areas of music, government, fashion, sports (surfing), education, dance, HIV/AIDS prevention and more. As well, there was a missionary call inviting South American YWAMers to both Europe and the United States which are missions fields today as their societies are turning their backs to God and values and principles are deteriorating. China and India were also highlighted.

It was an exciting week full of great praise and worship times, God ministering to our hearts, receiving a lot of encouragement and enjoying fellowship with old friends and new friends!

Cada tres años las bases en el cono sur de sudámerica se juntan para una conferencia de una semana. Este año el evento se realizó en Santiago de Chile. Jucumeros viajaron desde sus bases en Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Argentina y Chile para atender talleres, recibir palabras de animo por los oradores invitados de JuCUM, para aprender y compartir lo que se esta haciendo en distintas bases en sudámerica y alrededor del mundo y para construir y mantener relaciones y viejas amistades.

Las plenarias fueron dados por Ricardo Rodriguez, el director regional de JuCUM cono sur, otros directores de bases en la region y por Jucumeros invitados fuera de la region. Los invitados principales eran Jim Stier, quien fue clave en los comienzos de JuCUM Brazil, y Ramona Musch de JuCUM Atlanta sirviendo como una directora regional en Los Estados Unidos.

Este año se hizo énfasis en destacar los ministerios que estan transformando áreas específicas de la sociedad...como en la área de música, gobierno, moda, deportes (surf), educación, danza, prevención de VIH-SIDA y mas. Tambien se dio un llamado invitando los Jucumeros latinos a europa y estados unidos quienes se considera como campos de misiones hoy como sus sociedades estan dando la espalda a Dios y sus valores y principios se estan deteriorando. Los campos de China e India tambien fueron destacados.

Fue una semana emocionante llena de tiempos hermosos de alabanza y adoración, ministración de Dios a nuestros corazones, recibir mucho animo y disfrutar de estar juntos con amigos nuevos y con amigos de muchos años!
