Busy October!!

It has been really busy these last couple of weeks. October came and went in a flash!

In mid-October we received Pastor Daniel from Dharmapuri, India. After almost a year long process of getting all the necessary papers in line for his visa we were thrilled to finally have him with us in Mendoza. Our base directors first met Pastor Daniel several years ago during an outreach to India. Since then our base and our director's local church have been offering support to the Girls Home that Pastor Daniel and his wife run in Dharmapuri. Pastor Daniel spent two solid weeks with us in Mendoza speaking at dozens of churches and meetings. He literally prayed for each person in each place where he preached! Later he accompanied us to Buenos Aires for our 50th Anniversary celebration and national conference. It was such a privilege to have him present with us!

As a base we packed for a week and headed to Buenos Aires for the 50th anniversary celebration of YWAM International and for the national conference. It was amazing! Our founders, Loren and Darlene Cunningham joined for the festivities. It was incredible to hear stories of YWAM's beginnings and to hear about some of the new initiatives coming out of YWAM in the near future. It's always so exciting to hear about what is going on within our global family...it's fun to be part of something bigger!

Ropes Course Mendoza has arrived! / / Curso de Cuerdas Mendoza llego!

As previously announced we started building our very own ropes course! Sue and Jeff from YWAM Salem, Oregon and Salomon from Brazil (YWAM Curitiva) joined our Sports Ministry for a week to get us started on the low circuit with its different elements. Cables have been cut, ropes have been knotted and the ropes course starts to take shape! As well, we started one part of the high circuit, 13 meters up in the trees! This week we officially inaugurated the course and our staff and students were the first ones to get some experience. It challenges us to grow in leadership, face our fears, trusting others, following orders and being responsible for others! We will keep you updated on any further progress! En Córdoba Capital // City of Córdoba

En esta ocación la Base de JuCUM Córdoba fue la anfitriona de nuestros representantes en este viaje, y quiénes llevaron a cabo en conjunto una extensa lista de actividades. De los cuatro días que estuvieron en La docta, pudieron visitar hospitales, interceder en las plazas centrales de la ciudad, evangelizar villas; el centro e incluso la zona roja. Participaron con música, de parte de nuestra murga, junto a iglesias locales de la campaña a favor de la vida y junta de firmas para un proyecto de ley de la protección integral de la familia. Se dictó en las instalaciones de la base un taller de prevención de abuso infantil a cargo del equipo de consejería que estuvo abierto para las iglesias. También otra parte del equipo pudieron celebrar el Día del Niño en el centro vecinal del barrio junto a 350 niños aproximadamente y sus familias. Para culminar el tiempo en el lugar decidieron interceder por la provincia desde el mismo barrio, ya que es uno de los puntos más altos de la ciudad. Y...
