Mendoza en Común en el Barrio Santo Tomás // Mendoza en Común in the neighbourhood of Santo Tomás

El sábado 15 de septiembre, fuimos invitados a sumarnos, en una actividad organizada por la Ciudad de Mendoza: llamada, "Mendoza en Común". La misma se desarrolló, en el barrio Santo Tomás, de la localidad del Borbollón, ubicando una carpa en un terreno de la zona, dictaron: talleres de teatro, concursos de baile, futbol, y obras de teatro para toda la familia. Con una caminata de intercesión por la zona, previo al evento, declaramos muros de salvación y la verdad de Dios como fundamento. Invitamos a los vecinos del barrio, y gracias a Dios, con muchos de ellos, compartimos una jornada de lo más grata. Todavía nos resta un fuerte trabajo de contención, por hacer, pero queremos resaltar la tarea del ministerio de Misericordia, que cada semana esta trabajando en el barrio Santo Tomás, brindando talleres, charlas acerca de violencia familia, una escuelita de futbol y más.

 

Saturday the 15th of September we were invited to participate at an event organized by the city of Mendoza called "Mendoza en Común". It was held in the neighbourhood Santo Tomás, adjacent to our neighbourhood. People could participate in different theater workshops, dance contests, a soccer tournament and there were dramas for the entire family. Before the event we had an intercession walk around the neighbourhood, declaring walls of salvation and God´s truth. We invited everybody to the event and lots of them came out to take part.

There is still work to be done in this area and we would like to highlight the work that the Mercy ministry is doing. They are working in Santo Tomás every week, giving workshops and talks about family violence, and more.
